It’s been quite a long time since I blogged here — I actually forgot my password for my site, that’s how long it’s been. But, I’d like to share a book project my friend (and former roommate and classmate) started in response to all the emotions and thoughts she had after the 2016 Election. There are no requirements on which political party you support, just that you express yourself without hate.
“States of the Union is a book about the results of the 2016 presidential election. We are currently seeking contributors. Non-fiction, fiction, poetry, and art will all be accepted for submission. If you feel most comfortable expressing yourself through interview, please let us know. We would be honored to hear your thoughts and capture your voice.”
Check out the website and consider submitting if you’d like to contribute to this “time capsule” of this moment in our nation’s history.

“I always consider the entire process about failure, and I think that’s the reason why more people don’t write.”
To light it up again burn like a holy fire
Light me up again if it makes you feel free
Light me up again call me a snake and a liar
And I will be the fire that keeps you warm

One for One Thousand is a collective of writers and photographers creating stories with a single picture and a story of one thousand words. I’m excited to have another story featured on their site. Click the photo (by Kayla King) above to read “Chicory.”

If you’ve been following along, you’re probably familiar with SINGULARITY–a project I had the opportunity and honor to be part of. In case you missed some things along the way–or still aren’t sure exactly what SINGULARITY is all about–here’s a round up of all the posts and promotions. Teasers, trailers, scary stories–they’re all here!
Real or not, an unspeakable act of violence leaves the residents of Ward C, home of a secret experiment, dead – torn apart. There is only one survivor… a woman calling herself Jessica B. Bell.
What happens when the creation surpasses the creator?
How far will Jessica go to be real?
Find out in SINGULARITY.
Get excited!! It’s the last of the character reveals for SINGULARITY and like the ones before it, Zoe’s story is a twisty one filled with terror that will have you feeling like Halloween came in July. If you’re not familiar with SINGLUARITY check it out here. Not only can you read the synopsis and pre-order SINGULARITY, but a few lucky readers had the opportunity to read and review it. They weren’t disappointed and you won’t be either!
Meet the Characters of SINGULARITY over on T.A. Woods blog PenPaperPad where she has an interview with the writers about what makes them–and their characters tick. You won’t want to miss the character trailers–but watch them with the lights on!
Meet the Writers of SINGULARITY to find out more about the collaborators (including myself) and read some fiction that’s guaranteed to have you checking behind doors and shower curtains for weeks. But don’t let that stop you!
Tamara Woods over at PenPaperPad was kind enough to (virtually) sit down with me to talk about the latest collaborative work from Jessica B. Bell and Helena Hann-Basquiat featuring several writers including yours truly! Check out our interview and the teaser for one of the many characters you’ll meet in SINGULARITY here!
In case you aren’t familiar with SINGULARITY or its precursor JESSICA–don’t be in the dark any longer. If you like stories that must be read with the light on and will make you aware of every creaking floorboard, look no further.

Singularity is coming August 1, 2015
Singularity is its own novel, and can be enjoyed all on its own, but if you haven’t read JESSICA, GO HERE to read the first chapter or GO HERE to purchase a copy in paperback or e-book.
