One for One Thousand is a collective of writers and photographers creating stories with a single picture and a story of one thousand words. It’s a pleasure to have my writing featured on their site with a hauntingly lovely photo from Daniel Vidal. Click the photo above to read “Comfort” on the site.
If you’re interested in other pieces I’ve written for 1:1000, see Wheels and Fishing Lessons.
This is really neat! Thank you for telling me about this. 🙂
Just went and read this — you’re so gut at tugging the heartstrings. Liked this one a lot.
Thank you! I was a little worried that it was over the top–I didn’t want it to feel cheap.
Wow. Beautiful. Truly.
Thank you so much! If you’re following along, I expect to have another piece up on the site early this fall.
Great website and great story! You’re a great writer Hannah!
Thank you so much, Lisa! Glad you enjoyed this piece and hope you find more to like around the blog!

Great to be inspired by good writers! I too love writing and am producing/directing a charity play that I have written myself and did the casting myself! Am hoping to finish the novel form of the play in the new year (which was started first!) so it’s good to read blogs like yours to kick me up the backside lol!!!
I’m so very flattered!! Writing, producing, casting, AND directing?? Now, that is inspiring! Best of luck working on your novel–I know how time consuming that can be!
Wow!!
