I decided to give Gatsby a second chance after 4+ years. Mr. Fitzgerald’s writing redeemed it. All of the characters are still lost causes…but perhaps that is the point.

I read Gatsby in its entirety yesterday. I think Fitzgerald’s writing more than made up for his character’s flaws and I finally found myself empathizing with some of them in a way I couldn’t back in high school. Well worth the second chance
